“No one ever said changing the world was going to be quick or easy … But at UIC's College of Education we have committed ourselves to the challenge for the long haul.”
Victoria Chou
Dean of the College of Education
The College of Education’s graduate programs offer diverse career and scholastic pathways for the next generation of educational leaders who are preparing to transform urban education in America. Our 16 master’s and doctoral programs permit students to focus their study on urban classrooms and culture, educational policy, educational psychology, learning assessment, and other topics and disciplines within the field of education. We prepare our students to become high-caliber faculty and staff in whatever fields they choose, whether it is teaching and leading urban schools, conducting research, developing policy, or advocating for urban youth.
Our faculty are leaders in the transformation of America’s schools and our graduates are working to make good on the promise of public education. For these reasons, and many more, we’re honored to be recognized again this year as one of the top 50 graduate schools of education in U.S. News and World Report.
